The first batch of The 7 Deadly Sins of Summer collection sold pretty quickly, with only a few of both Wrath and Greed still available. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I hope those of you who were able to get them love them as much as I do :)

I am still in the process of printing and packing and all of your packages will be mailed on or before Thursday at the latest :)

While I've got you here, I do have to talk about something not so fun. Isn't that always the way I write these blogs?! :P

Base.

By now we are all well aware of the great suspension base shortage. I do have a large amount of it ordered though. Enough for weeks and weeks of lacquery goodness. But it's still in the process of being made and it will be weeks before it is even shipped out to me.

Right now I have approximately 1 half gallon of base and I have an order for Overall Beauty to fulfill with it, as well as a couple orders for ladies who wished to have birthday gifts etc made for their friends. I'm really not sure of how much I will have left over after that, and I'm quite frankly a little bit terrified.

But the plan is this:
I always have a few extra lacquers hanging around in my workspace drawers and such, so I will take inventory of those and work on creating a very limited number of my most popular shades for next weeks restock. This would include: Rio, Duckie, Rayanne, Angela and Jordan.

Once the order of base comes in I will be working 3x as hard and often on creating a very large batch of ALL of the shades, including the 2nd batch of the 7 Deadly Sins of Summer. I'm just praying that the base comes quicker than I am expecting it. One can always hope, right? :)

In more hilarious news-
My father is dying to retire from the University and wants to become partners with me! And pretty much every person in my family has come to me looking for a job :P I'm still mulling over the possibilities. It would be nice to have someone help out with the shipping... hehe.

Those of you who are members of my facebook page have probably already seen the sneak peeks at the 7 Deadly Sins of Summer collection. I've been trying to answer all of the emails I've gotten about them but I figured an official blog announcement would be easier and more informative.

So...here's the deal:

There are 7 shades. One for each of the deadly sins. Lust, Envy, Gluttony, Sloth, Wrath, Greed, and Pride. They are limited edition. There will be 50 of each shade for sale. HOWEVER...right now I only 25 of each shade to sell. The reason I did a half batch is because a. the base shortage is in full effect and although I am placing an order for some later today, it will be weeks before I have more. and b. I want to give everyone a chance to get them. So if you miss them this time around, there will be another 25 of each shade released sometime in the (near???) future.

They will be available at the shop at 12pm noon EST on Saturday (4/21).

There are NO reserves on these. If you have an order on hold with me, I cannot reserve any of these for you. Normally I would but it wouldn't be fair as they are a limited edition. Nor can I place any more orders on hold. If you place an order, it will be shipped asap. I apologize :( I'm just trying to make things as simple as possible in order to cut down on confusion/mistakes during the packing process.

My other, non limited edition shades will not be available this week. I know that this is a bummer for those of you who were interested in Duckie/Rayanne/etc as well, but again...I am trying to keep things as simple as possible and my daily schedule is a bit hectic so I didn't have the time to create those as well. I hope you understand :/

The good news is that I will have *some* base left after the 7 Deadly Sins of Summer is completed and I will be making some of my more popular shades for you guys.

As always, please keep in mind that if you are going to order more than 7 lacquers that you should either email me first or I will automatically send you an invoice for the extra shipping cost (roughly $5).

Also keep in mind that this is the last batch of Underground and Riot for the foreseeable future.

Hello! 

I feel like I haven't posted in a month! But clearly that's not right. I guess it's just because my last restock was nearly 2 weeks ago. Yikes!

You'd think that since I've had 2 weeks since a restock that I would be more than ready to go. But, sadly, that just isn't so. I ran out of necessary glitters and steel balls. Then I realized that I only have about 25 shipping boxes. BUT...the glitters and balls should be here any minute and the boxes are supposedly in transit. I *should* be ready to restock on Saturday. I am reaaaaaaallllllly going to work super ultra mega overtime over the next day and a half to get these babies ready, because the idea of waiting until Monday makes me sad :(

As always, I will update here, on twitter, and on my brand new facebook page at least 12 hours before the shop is restocked.

Just a quick note to let you guys know that I finally got around to creating a facebook page for Nostalgic Nail Lacquer. I'll be adding some sneak peeks of the LE colors to it over the next few days. I also plan to do some giveaways there on occasion. Check it out!

I know that when I update there is usually a "good news" and "bad news" to be told. But this time it's all good! So let's get to it, shall we?

Firstly, the gallons of base that I bought have shipped and are scheduled to arrive on Monday morning. I also ordered a bunch more bottles, steel balls, and some fun new glitters in addition to a few other tools that will help make production quicker and easier. Suffice to say, nearly all of the money I made this past week has gone back into Nostalgic Nail Lacquer. But hey, I'm not complaining. It feels good to have all of my ducks in a row for once! ;)

Oh, and the last of the orderes that were placed between Friday and yesterday have all been shipped. Some of you may have already received your orders. That priority mail does tend to move fast ;)

I know I just came out with the new My So-Called Lacquer collection, but I am already working on a (very) limited edition set of all new lacquers. There are SEVEN(!!!) of them in total and I've been spending a few hours each night putting together a spreadsheet of customers and their email addresses so that when this new collection is finished, I can give a set away to one of you awesome ladies (or gents?!). When this giveaway takes place, you won't have to do anything. You won't have to tweet, link, or add me on GFC (which doesn't work on my site anymore for some weird reason...). If you've purchased any of my lacquers in the past, you are automatically entered. And I will continue adding customers to the spreadsheet right up until the day the LE collection is released.

The plan is to make 52 sets of the 7 lacquers. 50 sets for purchase, one set for the giveaway winner and one set for me...because, you know, I need a set to swatch with ;)

If everything goes well, I hope to do this same thing again. You've all made one of my dreams come true, and I'd love to be able to show you how much I appreciate it.

As to when the LE collection will be up...I'd give it another 2-3 weeks. I still have a massive batch of current shades to produce for you guys this coming week. But considering I have all of the materials and 4 out of 7 shades already made, I am sure it won't be too long :)
